I know this is a rant thread and probably all related to some Baseball Slant freebie league, but I felt like chiming in anyway.

I'm in a pay league with some people I've been playing with for a few years. Hammer joined up with me this year after playing in an NFL league and NBA league with me as well. Speaking of Hammer, actually I don't know if that homo still posts here, but I'm sure most of you remember him... then again, he can't/doesn't even say "hi" to me anymore so maybe he's more forgettable than I'm giving him credit for. I probably speak to him once a year now because he works too many hours or some excuse like that. But anyway, moving along...

1st place takes home 1,200$. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th also receive cash winnings (4th gets their money back).

This is my 2nd year in this particular league. It's a roto auction and I'm currently in first, with 102.5 points (the guy in 2nd has 98). My team was pretty dreadful after the draft, but I've played the waivers better than most years.

Currently set-up like this:
14-team roto, 5x5 scoring (R, HR, RBI, SB, OBP & W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP), mixed 30-man rosters w/ 2 DL slots per team.
1400IP/80 transaction limits *not counting trades* (42/80 transactions made)

It was an auction format draft, and I was able to draft Trout for $4, and Sale for $8. Easily the two biggest players for my team this year. Plouffe has also filled in amazingly for Tulo... I almost want Tulo to take his sweet time based on how well Plouffe's hitting the ball right now. He's eligible at multiple positions, too.

I love fantasy baseball. I've become addicted to fantasy sports as a whole over the past 3 or 4 years, but fantasy baseball is so much fun for me. The league I play in is pretty competitive too...

Although, Hammer's team is sitting around something like 72 points (suck it like the Knicks).

A question on the prices for Trout/Sale, how much cash did you get to start with? Most leagues are 23 players/$260(public anyway), but with 30 man rosters, did you get a couple extra bucks to spend on guys?

In one of my auction leagues. I had Matt Cain, RA Dickey and Lance Lynn all pitching. Needless to say, they with Fireri scored 131 points combined.
