    I wish there was a trade provision for disgruntled players

    I call it the Asshole Poison Pill Provision. If he demands a trade and his team grants his wish by jettisoning him in exchange for nothing of fairly good use because he had tanked his trade value by dogging it on the field, then he can't sign with or be traded again to a division rival, when it would be obvious he just wants to make his would-be former team pay.
