Thumbs Up Who would you like to see provide realmofotalk-esque commentary on their team?

Long thread title, yeah my bad. We all know of Mofo's opinions and criticisms of his beloved or hated dodgers. Perhaps he is only matched by Reefer, when he's around. I said perhaps.

Who would you love to see be as balls to the wall, scathingly honest, and uncensored about their team the same way he is, on the forums?
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
    Ted
: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
    Barney: Circle gets the square!

I went with Provi. This was a great question though. Realmofo is in a league of his own and I dont think anyone can match it. But something about Provui seems so cool and layed back to me. So, it would be pretty nuts to see him go off once and a while.

You better be shitting me with some of these names. When you have someone who will say Mark Sanchez is a shitty quarterback very matter-of-factly, but talk about Latos, Garland, Correia, Richard, and LeBlanc like they're already a championship pitching staff, that's more like balls to the mouth commentary.

I'd like you to quote where I said that they are already a championship pitching staff.

Unless you're referring to DK, then I'd like to see that quote.

Also, I like you, Provi, but Chris Carter is a beast...in the minor leagues. Minor leagues. Minor.

Well duh, he's not in the majors yet...and of course he'll need a couple of years to adjust fully. You watch.

I'm watching his batting average slip below .250 in the Pacific Coast League. Shades of the current Kyle Blanks domination at the MLB level.

Blanks is grinding my gears with his whiff rate and inability to get a hit.

I don't care what his average is. It's his first full year in AAA so there is going to be an adjustment period there as well. His OBP is almost .340 and his OPS is .832. He's got 15 homers and 47 RBIs so far.

.340 isn't exactly something to cheer about.

It's good when you're average is below .250 ATM.

Re: Who would you like to see provide realmofotalk-esque commentary on their team?

    Carter is heating up.

Closing Time: Chris Carter comes alive; Nix, Iannetta streaking - Roto Arcade - Fantasy* - Yahoo! Sports

Carter homered and drove in two runs for Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday. So far this month — and yes, we realize it's only July 8 — he's hitting .276/.417/.655. He now ranks fifth in the Pacific Coast League in home runs (18) and fourth in RBIs (62).

Carter struggled early in the season and his strikeout total is kind of absurd (98), but the power is absolutely real. In 2009, he was named the Texas League Player of the Year after hitting .337/.435/.576 with 24 homers, 101 RBIs and 13 steals. (Zesty!) Keep him on the fantasy radar. If the recent surge continues — and the A's ever decide they want something better than a .395 slugging percentage at first base — then Carter will earn a call-up. He has the potential to provide a nice end-of-season power boost, and it's often possible to gain roto points in HRs late in the year.
He went 1 for 3 yesterday with a homer, 2 RBIs, and a k. He now has 19 homers and 64 RBIs with an OPS of .844. His combined AAA line including his brief AAA stint last season is .241/.339/.510/.840 (23 homers, 78 RBIs in 98 games).

I hope they leave him in AAA for the whole year and call him up in September, but rumor has it they may call him up sooner. The k's are a concern, but you can't deny the power. He only spent 1 year at AA and this is his first full year at AAA. He's 23. I think he's progressing well.

I guarantee nobody here has had it worse as a baseball fan than I do. It's one thing to watch your team lose, but it's another to watch your team get ****ed over by the patron saint of this forum (Why couldn't it have been someone unimportant like Greg Dobbs instead?) and then watch your most hated team steamroll the very team that had KO'd yours the last two years, en route to their first World Series championship. This is hell to a frustrated fan.
