    Embarassment of Riches

Basically, I am wondering who I should drop and who I should keep on this team. I need some bench players...badly, as I have one bench hitter and numerous bench pitchers, but once you see who I got in the draft/FA, you'll know why...

    C- Posada
    1B- Ortiz
    2B- Weeks
    SS- Ellis
    3B- Cantu
    OF- Dunn, Drew, Wilkerson
    Util- Roberts
    Bench- Granderson

SP- Halladay, C. Zambrano, Buehrle, Hudson, Beckett, Schmidt, Harang, Prior
    RP- Papelbon, Fuentes, Cordero, Cordero

Now, Papelbon will be an easy drop if Foulke gets the job back, but I have to activate Prior soon. I was thinking about dropping Harang.

Very nice group of pitchers you have there... Unfortunately the same can't be said for your offense
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

Yeah, drop Harang. He's a bum. Wilkerson too. He's also a bum.

Cantu is day to day like the rest of us...

And the only reason Cantu was/is in the lineup is because I don't have an extra 3B on hand. *shrug*

BTW, I have a couple idiots in my league. At this point, I have a couple waiver claims out there shipping out Wilkerson and Granderson for Sexson and V. Wells. And I'm facing a guy starting three players (with Wright and Delgado, among others) on the bench and with K-Rod as his only pitcher.

Dropping Granderson? You suck. Damn mistake I tell yah, damn mistake.

He'll get out of his slump soon.

I already dropped Wilkerson for Sexson, so I don't have much of a choice. It's Drew, Dunn, or Granderson

    I would've picked Drew.

Nah. I understand. Though, Granderson will be great this season. Maybe not in fantasy baseball stat wise, but in real life baseball.

You'll be happy to note that someone stole Wells who was ahead of me on waiver claims

    ^ owned.

I like being commissioner of my league for the first time. I can see if a certain player has a waiver claim on him by a GM in the league. If there's no claim, I don't have to waste my waiver priority on that player, I can just pick him up when he becomes a free agent.

Chris Ray was also taken ahead of me too, and I dropped Ellis for Garciaparra for some 3B help.

But I got a really fun offer.

Garrett Atkins, Tom Glavine, and Cliff Lee for Papelbon and Beckett. rofl.

First of all, it doesn't help my hitting problem, second, it's a swap with no upside for me. So, I need a creative way to reject this sum*****. Suggestions.

As much as im a huge Red Sox fan, Id like to decline this deal just because i dont need a pitcher thats on his walker to the mound, some random young Rockie and a Indians pitcher thats struggling for basically the Ace and Closer of the best team in the AL (....not really)
