With the #2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select Ryan Leaf.

Leaf had tools and talent as well as a proven track record.. This guy has more letters in his name and that's about it

I just don't understand how the 49ers pulled that off.
Did they say- we are gonna pick Mitchell unless you trade with us???

I'm sure there were probably a couple teams calling and Chicago didn't want to take the risk.

It could have also been "We have Houston on the line and they want to trade up for Mitchell"

    Re: 2017 NFL Draft

I get the fact that the Titans need a play maker WR but I just feel like they really stretched drafting Corey Davis at number 5. I really think they could have found a solid WR with their number 18 pick and they should have taken Jamal Adams.

Also, I don't understand why the Browns passed on Watson and traded their pick to the Texans. I get it, stock piling as many draft picks as possible is a great thing but let's be honest, they keep passing on QB's. When are they ever going to make a decision to draft a QB? I don't get it. The first round pick they got from the Texans for next year is certainly not going to be as high as 12. Dumb trade.

I definitely appreciate them passing on Adams. It's about the only good I'll see for the next 11 months in terms of football until we get Sam Darnold next draft after our 1-15 season.
