I'm not going say anything about Cleveland's pick because I don't know much about him but grading their pick based on the number of holes they still have after that pick isn't very fair. You can point out that they've left a myriad of other holes after their pick no matter who they took.
I'm a firm believer of taking BPA, with minimal exceptions. The Chargers shouldn't draft a QB, for instance, and I agree that the Cowboys didn't need Elliot. I guess you can say I believe in BPA but not if it means drafting too much in excess?
At any rate, of course you need linemen to protect your QB or else you can't do much, but if you nevertheless also need a WR or a QB or a CB or someone else then why pass on a better player just because they don't play the line?
