No real surprises in during the wild card round.
Dolphins stink it up with a backup QB. Yeah they beat the Steelers in the regular season after Ben wasn't effective and then got hurt. Their inflated 10-6 showed they were going to get blown out. 9 out of 10 wins coming against teams with records under .500 (not to mention playing the Bills and Jets twice.) and 5 of their 6 losses coming against teams with a .500 record or better.
Lions didn't get any help from the officials. The Giants still have plenty of holes to fill, like in their running game. Oakland with no QB.
It's quite possible that was the worst NFL Wild Card weekend ever. It's definitely the worst in several years by my recollection. I can't fully judge because I didn't watch every minute of every game, but there was reason for that. Haha. None of the games (other than about half or so of Lions/Seahawks and half of Giants/Packers) kept my attention at all. Part of the issue is key injuries to key quarterbacks (Raiders and Dolphins).
I imagine this upcoming weekend of football will be much better! And on a side note, I have a feeling Alabama/Clemson will be pretty good tonight.
