    #1 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    QB Jameis Winston, Florida State

Jameis has a leg up on Mariota in terms of physical ability and fits better in a pro offense then the Oregon product. Winston has his character flaws but interviews at the combine has coaches, scouts and draft beatniks changing their minds about possible off-field problems. Winston is working out for teams like the Jets but we know this is a no brainer. Mariota is safe in terms of character, but who knows if he can beat Winston's ability and pro-readiness with a higher ceiling.

#2. Tennessee Titans select DL Leonard Williams

    - Yeah, I know, quarterback is kind of a need. However, I don't know if Mariota fits in Whisenhunt's system as well as even Mettenberger. So we'll go with the #1 player on my board here. He's the perfect fit for Ray Horton's D, and I don't really see any negatives here. Slam dunk.

    #3 - Jacksonville Jaguars
    DE/LB Dante Fowler Jr, Florida

The Jaguars don't have to look far for their pick. There's a lot of talk about the Leo position and the Jaguars finding a player that fits the role, much like Atlanta may try to do since hiring Gus Bradley's successor. Jacksonville gets the first choice of who they think will be the best Leo in the draft and it's really a toss up between Vic Beasley. Fowler is stronger with more length and wouldn't be pushed around coming off the edge, he was placed in multiple positions on the field for the Gators and offer more versatility for the Jaguars then just being a pure edge rusher like Beasley or Missouri's Shane Ray.

Though this is the most likely pick to get traded to a QB needy team who feel Mariota is their future. Of course with the draft being deep with edge rushers and players that can fit the Leo role, the Jaguars could look at adding either Kevin White or Amari Cooper to a young receiver corp that had their top three WRs with around 500 reception yards a piece. Right now the safest bet is the Jaguars taking Fowler Jr.

With the 4th pick, the Oakland Raiders select Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama.

    - I'm maching White here in all of my personal drafts, but this makes a ton of sense, too. Cooper is a polished talent, with great quickness and route running. He's not a home run threat or anything, but he has good speed, and I don't know how important that is with Derek Carr at QB. Day one starter, and a potential Pro Bowler in the making.

    #5 - Washington Redskins
    QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon

They've got a new GM who drafted a Superbowl core for the 49ers and now in his first year on the job for Washington he hopes to have the same level of success. Scot McGloughan will take the best available player here, but once again if Marcus Mariota is hanging around it could just as easily be traded. Brandon Scherff is available here, but the Redskins haven't taken an offensive lineman in the first since Trent Williams in 2010 and that's been the only lineman taken in the first for Snyder's team this decade.

RG3 may never recapture his rookie year magic and Kirk Cousins may never be anything more than a solid backup, so the Redskins take the Oregon quarterback and could give him a year to get use to the speed of the pro game and learn the nuances of Jay Gruden's offense. Mariota has similar skills has RG3 and offer Gruden a dynamic player who could easily surpass the success of Andy Dalton who Gruden had in Cincinnati. Whatever happens this is the farthest Mariota falls regardless of a trade or not. Not drafted as high as Joey Harrington, his descent could be just as fast and low if he can't get use to the pro game.

With pick number six, the New York Jets select ER Randy Gregory, Nebraska.

    - With Mariota off the board, Schisno made my job easier. Todd Bowles needs pass rushers to go with his top end corners, and Gregory is the next guy on my list. He wins with speed and power, and I don't think any size issues will cause him to drop. I still prefer him to Beasley, Ray and Dupree, as well.

    #7 Chicago Bears
    WR Kevin White, West Virginia

Originally I believed Amari Cooper was going to slip past the Raiders, but it seems Kevin White is available and with the Bears shipping out Brandon Marshall to the Jets the Bears pick his replacement and provide Cutler and the future Chicago quarterback with just as potent a 1-2 punch for the foreseeable future. Ryan Pace has stated he wants to get back to the Bears defensive roots but they've been adding pieces in FA, and just signed Ray McDonald so they'll wait a little later to grab some defensive help.

    #8 Atlanta Falcons
    ER Vic Beasley, Clemson

    - Yeah, this team needs pass rushers. Beasley may be a little small to play on the line, but Dan Quinn will find uses for his quickness and pass rushing ability. The bench press reps at the combine, didn't hurt either.

    #9 - New York Giants
    OL Brandon Scherff, Iowa

He can play tackle or guard from the get go and allows the Giants the opportunity to decide where they want Pugh to play. It might be hard to pass up Danny Shelton, but the signing of Kenrick Ellis helps focus the need of keeping Manning upright more important. The Giants will look at Trae Waynes to help out their pass defensive woes.

Re: Witlon and Schisno Do A Back and Forth Mach: 2015 Edition

With pick #10 St. Louis selects Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford.

    - Offensive line is clearly the biggest need in St. Louis, and while Joseph Barksdale is still in play, he hasn't re-signed yet, so in this case The Rams will go with perhaps the best LT prospect in the draft. I know they took Greg Robinson last year, but he can stay at RT, and Peat can sure up the protection for Nick Foles' blindside.

DeVante Parker, La'el Collins and Trae Waynes were all in contention for this pick, but I feel it's too high for Collins, and you can't miss out on an impact player at your biggest need.

Re: Witlon and Schisno Do A Back and Forth Mach: 2015 Edition

    #11 - Minnesota Vikings
    CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State

For the majority of the offseason the Vikings have been paired with DeVante Parker so Teddy Bridgewater could have one of his college weapons. However with the recent addition of Mike Wallace it made drafting a WR a moot point, until Greg Jennings was let go. The Vikings are actually sitting on enough depth (Wallace, Johnson, Wright, Patterson) that they can wait a round or two and grab one later.

One of the bigger holes appears on the offensive line where the left guard position is a question mark, so is Matt Kalil becoming relevant at left tackle and recapturing his rookie form. However the Vikings will stay the course and test what they have on the line with the likes of David Yankey. Instead they address the defensive backfield. Captain Munnerlyn didn't play well last season and there isn't really a true starter other then Xavier Rhodes. Luckily for the Vikings the best corner on the board is still left and fall into their laps.

Trae Waynes rocked the combine, but has the college production and tape to show he can give the Vikings another corner with good size who can cover and stay with his man. Safety is still a concern with Harrison Smith looking for a running mate but Waynes is a better prospect then Landon Collins regardless of position and helps makes it easier to find a safety that can tag with Harrison.

With pick 12. Cleveland selects Danny Shelton, NT, Washington.

    - The Browns announced today that Phil Taylor was moving back to nose. I don't care. Shelton is the best player on the board, at this point, at a need position. Right tackle and wide receiver can be filled later, as can an edge rusher replacement for Jabaal Sheard.

Also considered: DeVante Parker, Shane Ray (SPARQ rating really scares me), Ereck Flowers, TJ Clemmings and La'el Collins. Should get one need filled at the second first round pick, though.
