I think he can be like any Lion's back in the past 20 years from James Stewart to Kevin Jones, Jahvid Best, Joique Bell or anyone in between. They could rush for 1,000 yards in a season but then struggle to get 800-900 yards rushing. He's not a game changer, Gurley has the skillset to make a difference on offense.

    #25 - Carolina Panthers
    OT DJ Humphries, Florida

The Panthers don't really have too many lineman that stand out at you and there are worse things then keeping Cam Newton from being pressured. Sure they signed Oher to a contract but the only success he's had is the movie he inspired. Humphries is more of an athlete at the tackle position right now but has high upside and could be a very solid left tackle down the line. It helps that Humphries is a Carolina native and wouldn't mind going home again. Panthers will also want to consider a receiver like Dorial Beckham-Green if they want to create mismatches on both sides of the field for Cam.

I think Jets pick comes down to one of the top 2 receivers (whichever one Oakland doesn't take), and Vic Beasley.

I think I need to file a tampering charge against you.

Bowles plays multiple fronts, I saw it more as "best pass rusher available" than any kind of so called fit.

    #26 Baltimore Ravens
    CB Byron Jones, Connecticut

    - Yeah, they need corners. Their pass defense was pathetic. I considered Breshad Perriman, but corner falls off by the time the team picks in the second round, so this is too perfect.

    #27 - Dallas Cowboys
    RB Melvin Gordon, Wisconsin

America's Team saw their star running back sign with the rival Eagles and clearly an Oakland washout isn't going to cut it. If Gordon was an Arkansas alumni there wouldn't be any question. Gurley may be the better all around back but Gordon has speed and vision, plus the awards and production at the college level. There have been varied comparisons from Minnesota great Robert Smith to current Kansas City running back Jamal Charles. Gordon is going to help the club from day one behind that offensive line they've built up.

They were weakened in the middle of their defensive line, so you can expect a long hard look at Eddie Goldman who will be able to help stop the run, especially against the Eagles.

    #28 - Denver Broncos
    OT TJ Clemmings, Pittsburgh

    - Way too soon for DJ Humphries (at 24 to CAR), with much better talents on the board. I considered La'el Collins here, again, but I wanted a true tackle of the future, and Clemmings is that. If he's available at this spot, I'd expect Denver to run to the podium to make this pick. In any event, I highly doubt Clemmings, Collins and Ereck Flowers are available at the point of the draft.

    #29 - Indianapolis Colts
    LB/S Shaq Thompson, UCLA

Landon Collins is gone and the Colts are looking for a safety, so they take Shaq Thompson who has some versatility and can play linebacker or running back and could be a weapon for Pagano and gang. The Colts will more likely play Thompson at safety because he might be too small for linebacker in their 3-4.

The most likely choice is La'el Collins if they are looking for a right tackle because Gosder Cherlis isn't the answer at right tackle. If TJ Clemmings was available then he'll be a lock to become a Colt. If they want an upgrade at LB they will look to draft either Stephone Anthony who was seen with the Colts at the senior bowl, or Eric Kendricks who might be undersized but has shown great production.

    #30 - Green Bay Packers
    LB Eric Kendricks, UCLA

The real linebacker from UCLA, don't listen to Shisno. AJ Hawk and Brad Jones are gone, and Kendricks ticks all the boxes on film and through the workouts. Three down linebackers don't come around often. Thought about PJ Williams, as Tramon left, but this is just too much value.

    #31 - New Orleans Saints
    TE Maxx Williams, Minnesota

Goodbye Jimmy Graham, hello cheap alternative Maxx Williams who is a big bodied receiver with the ability to use his speed to stretch the field vertically and make some great catches. He has the potential to be a dominant TE like Jimmy Graham, though he's a move Tight End he does have better blocking then a player like Jimmy Graham.

    #32 New England Patriots
    - La'el Collins, OL, Louisiana State

    - Yeah, he won't be here. Collins is a long term tackle, that can start off at guard and fill the biggest hole for the Pats. (Yeah, I'm on a time crunch, so no long write up this time.)

First round is complete. Shall I grab a second round list, Schisno?
