JJ Watt is probably the only reason the Texans were as close as they were.

i think its a two horse race between him and rodgers. but if thats your only argument for him (its not), where would the packers be without rodgers, the pats brady, the colts luck, etc.

    Re: Vote: Most Valuable Player

That argument is kind of silly with quarterbacks because you can make that argument with just about any team regardless of how well their respective QB played.

Take Philip Rivers away from San Diego and they're probably a 3 win team at best.

When you can make that argument about a defensive end, on the other hand, it says something.

the texans went 2-14 with the same jj watt playing last season, there mustve been improvement somewhere else too. starting with their schedule.

Obviously there's more to it than just the record, but the fact of the matter is his contributions to the team this year has been a direct influence on their ability to get the record they have right now.

And yes, you can say that about Rodgers and the others on the list as well.

    Re: Vote: Most Valuable Player

as i said, i think its between him and rodgers. some of jj watts numbers, in comparison to his defensive peers, is downright stupid. qb hits, tfls, pds, frs, and then the touchdowns... not only do you have a debate that hes the mvp, you might be able to convince me that hes not human. i just find it hard to believe in this day and age, that anyone besides a quarterback could be the mvp in this type of nfl. and yet, hed still be 2nd on my ballot.

JJ Watt couldn't control the turnovers his offense gave away last season. Makes sense why he was on offense

I know he's not going to get much support but Romo had a pretty unreal year with a fucked up back. He owned December even.

If you were to ask me who I think is going to get the MVP I probably wouldn't vote Watt.

But I never approach these polls that way. I vote who I think should be it.
