Jacksonville went with Olsen. Chicago is still a possible spot for Gase.

At least its not Oakland. I almost wish he'd stayed in Denver...

Gase had the easiest job in the NFL last year. He was quoted as saying "Yes Mr. Manning", "that is a good audible Mr. Manning" and other quips praising Peyton's handling of the offense.

Peyton was the OC just like he was for years in Indy.

Just because Manning made his job a little easier by being Manning and that makes it harder to truly gage his ability as a coordinator doesn't neccesarily mean he's horrible at the job. Nor does it mean you can just stick any average person in that position and watch him succeed as that description implies.

There's more people on the offense than just Peyton Manning and someone (not just Peyton Manning) has to decide where they go.

Peyton excels at knowing what play to call and when but that doesn't mean he writes up the plays. (I'm sure he has input)

Vic Fangio to be new Chicago Bears defensive coordinator - ESPN Chicago

The Chicago Bears continued to rapidly assemble John Fox's coaching staff on Tuesday, reaching an agreement with Vic Fangio to be their defensive coordinator.

The team made an announcement late Tuesday.

Fangio interviewed with the Bears on Saturday, and he met Sunday with the Washington Redskins for a second interview. The Redskins ended up settling on Joe Barry as their defensive coordinator Tuesday.
Well might as well add Adam Gase to that staff.
