Re: NFL's Black Monday 2014
Disappointed about losing Kubiak but fully expected it as we always seem to lose our coordinators.
Del Rio to Oakland seems interesting. He was able to turn around the Jaguars after a slew of missed postseasons and had them pretty solid for a while.

Del Rio went 68-71 in 9 years with Jacksonville, making the playoffs only twice and winning 1 playoff game in the process.
I wouldn't say he was atrocious with them, and they certainly fell further after he left, but I also don't see how that was the turn around you just painted here.
Jax came off a few losing seasons with Coughlin right before the hire, sure, but they weren't exactly in the same shape as Oakland is now.
Re: NFL's Black Monday 2014
I actually like the Del Rio hire. I might have preferred Indy's OC but at least we're not going with some no name like we've done before. Especially if we can find some top flight cordinators. The only name I know for certain is Mike Tice for OLine Coach.
Re: NFL's Black Monday 2014
Adam Gase may be available as an OC if reports are to be believed about Kubiak bringing in Rick Dennison for his OC.
It doesn't look like he'd get a HC position this year anymore as Atlanta is the only opening and they're going after Quinn.

No thanks on Gace. Denver's OC is the same that Indy's was all those years... Peyton Manning.

9-712-48-811-5Had them turned around for a good 4 years before going back to shit. The Raiders organization at this point must be praying for anything near those win loss records.

9-712-48-811-5? The fuck is that, hockey records?

Posting on my phone always does that shit for some reason and doesn't let me edit. 9-7. 12-4. 8-8. 11-5.

Oh, shit, the numbers from Lost, right?

Re: NFL's Black Monday 2014
that happened when he hired Bill fucking Musgrave as OC. And I had such hope things were actually turning around.

My argument wasn't that he necessarily sucked in Jacksonville, it was that he wasn't much better than his predecessor as you claimed.
Re: NFL's Black Monday 2014
Tom Coughlin was better, he took them to a AFC Title game, he gave the world Jimmy Smith-Keenan McCardell.
