These predictions suck. The Bills are obviously winning the AFC East.

With the 1st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select
    SHILIQUE CALHOUN, DE, Michigan State

In 2014 the Jaguars drafted their franchise quarterback in Blake Bortles, unfortunately they stuck with Chad Henne for too many games and finished with one less win than the past four years. Many had expected Jacksonville to tab Khalil Mack as a pass rush specialist to help get the defense off the ground, but were surprised to see them skip over the need in the draft.

Now they have another chance to get it right and select the fastest rising defensive prospect. Calhoun has been compared to Michael Strahan with his disruptive ability, he is a former basketball player and probably one of the best athletes at his position, he also has surprising hands and did manage 3 defensive touchdowns. His long arms and lower body strength have made it tough for right tackles to defend against him, but his technique remains a little raw but has probably the highest ceiling of all Defensive Ends in the draft.

With the 2nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select
    MARCUS MARIOTA, QB, Oregon

Tennessee had to suffer through one more year of Jake Locker’s unreliability and find themselves with the Jaguars picking within the top two picks. The AFC South is a tough division to win, when the Colts seem to have franchise quarterbacks fall in their laps. Luckily this is a deep draft for signal callers. Sure they nabbed Zach Mettenberger in the sixth round of the 2014 draft but he’s not Kurt Warner, and he’s definitely not Ben Roethlisberger like Whisenhunt had in Pittsburgh.

However Mariota is a special player at the position. He’s a dynamic runner and an overall tough player, especially when he was playing through his MCL injury. A dual threat quarterback (Passing for over 3,300 yards and running for over 700 yards) that is more polished than Colin Kaepernick coming out, he still needs polish but should take a step forward this upcoming year before declaring for the draft.

With the 3rd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select
    AMARI COOPER WR, Alabama

It was surprising that the Cleveland Browns didn’t select a receiver to pair with Josh Gordon during the 2014 draft, of course his presence on the team is still in question. Finding themselves still a year or two from competing in the AFC North the Browns come into the 2015 Draft looking for a playmaker at the position to help out Johnny Manziel as he takes over from Brian Hoyer full time after a dismal 2014 season.

Amari Cooper reportedly ran unofficial 40 times of 4.31, 4.35 and 4.38 demonstrating his break neck speed. Cooper is an athlete at the position, but also runs some of the tightest routes in the country. He could definitely make a quick jump to the pros and had an amazing freshman season with 59 catches for 1,000 yards and 11 TDs. Injuries held him back, but 2014 will have him jump back into the spotlight.

With the 4th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select
    JAMEIS WINSTON QB, Florida State

Josh McCown certainly wasn’t the answer and that confidence in Mike Glennon didn’t get any better. Lovie Smith could have had a better return to the coaching ranks but with the offense just short of a pivot for the 2015 season Lovie and company have their choice of arms even after Mariota was taken by the Titans.

There are a lot of red flags when it comes to Winston, especially with his apparent sense of entitlement, except it’s so hard to give up on the skillset that he possesses. Confident, strong armed with good accuracy and able to take pressure of the rush, he runs slightly slower than Johnny Manziel at 4.6 40 time. Winston makes more plays with his arms, but he knows he can run and will help him when the pocket breaks down at the next level. If the red flags are too much it will be a toss up between Brett Hundley and senior Bryce Petty of Baylor for the Bucs.

With the 5th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select
    RANDY GREGORY, DE, Nebraska

The Raiders continue another year out of the playoffs but things are looking up as David Carr showed flashes of being a capable starter. The only problem now is that we have a new regime coming in after Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen were shown the door.

Oakland found a premier talent with Khalil Mack, but their defensive ends are a bit long in the tooth, so they bring in a powerful and disruptive presence in Randy Gregory. A JUCO transfer who had 16 TFL and 10.5 sacks in 2013, Gregory is hard to defend one on one because of his first step and ability to get to the backfield, he’s long at 6’6 and can add more bulk to his 260 pound frame. Not a generational talent like Clowney but could easily be the first pick in this draft.

With the 6th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select
    JALEN COLLINS, CB/S, LSU

The Minnesota Vikings are still the ugly stepchild of the NFC North as they struggled with the reemergence of the Lions and continued dominance of the Aaron Rodgers era Packers. Yet they’ve collected a lot of talent over the last few drafts, so you can expect them to try and trade down or trade back into the first round.

Minnesota could use a receiver with Greg Jennings slowing down, but the secondary still needs a little work and Jalen Collins offers a potential starter at safety to pair up with Harrison Smith. He’s not as physical as you would like, but breaks well on the ball and has good hands. Definitely one of the better prospects at off-man coverage with great closing speed, Zimmer can toughen him up and teach him to jam better off the line.

With the 7th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears select
    BRANDON SCHERFF, OT, Iowa

There is no reason for Chicago to be drafting this high but Jay Cutler dealt with injuries again and the offensive line is still getting the same blame it always does. The Bears brass go out and grab a big strong tackle to protect Cutler’s blind side. Of course Chicago can surprise and pick up one of the highly touted quarterbacks in this draft class.

Brandon Scherff is a big strong tackle who isn’t the athlete that some of the tackles have been the past couple drafts. Instead he uses great hand placement and knee bend with functional lateral quickness, although he can get in trouble relying on just his strength. A blue collar and gritty tackle that will fit in with Chicago and make most defensive ends and tackles work.

With the 8th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns (via Buffalo Bills) select
    VIC BEASLEY, DE/OLB, Clemson

The Browns paid a lot of money to the likes of Paul Kruger to provide a rush, but he continues to fail to live up to expectations. Now Cleveland looks to add a former ACC sack leader and a very special pass rusher, who has been compared to the Seahawks Bruce Irvin.

Vic Beasley has an explosive first step coupled with great upper body strength and leg power to push offensive lineman onto their heels. Highly athletic defender with closing speed and able to maintain complete body control, is the kind of linebacker that Mike Pettine needs in his base 3-4 on passing downs.

With the 9th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select
    PJ WILLIAMS, CB, Florida State

It still fathoms the mind how DeAngelo Hall is your number one corner. Of course the Redskins do have David Amerson, but the depth gets a little shallow after that. The Redskins could also consider an inside linebacker but with some of the offenses in the NFC East they’ll need to do a better job protecting against the pass.

PJ Williams showed up to play during Florida States National Championship game. He has good size for a corner and the ability to read and react to the pass, helping him with his ability to breakup the pass, and he is also a good tackler for the position.

Re: Schisno's Annual Ridiculously Early Prediction and Mock Draft

With the 10th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers select
    LEONARD WILLIAMS, DT, USC

The San Diego Chargers surprised many this year by not only making the playoffs but have the success that they did. However they a couple steps after a tough season and look to create more pressure on the defensive line, of course they don’t have to look too far and nab a real player from USC.

Leonard Williams has skillset that many lineman which they had, good power, very athletic and keeps getting better. Williams is a disruptive defensive tackle that has good speed that compares to his 6’5, 290 pound frame. Williams could play in either a 4-3 or 3-4 and has a great motor and doesn’t take a play off. Should be considered a top five talent.
