I'll admit that at this juncture it's pretty much impossible to argue for Rivers over Eli, but mofo is pulling his usual stich of responding to opinions posted/made a half decade ago or older.
I forgot to add strawman tactics to my last post.
I'm fine with two rings, could care less where Big Ben ranks among all time (although I dont doubt his HoF credentials).
Eli is good. Rivers is good. Rivers got stuck with the worst coaching (it's not even close).
Lately, it's more like he's getting killed by horrible GM'ing. You could build an All-Pro team with the players they've let go. And who's the last first round pick they've drafted who didn't bust? Eli Manning?
Nope. Dan was one of the GREATEST OF ALL TIME and basically rewrote most of the NFL record book. The guys you mentioned were a kicker, a roided up jack wagon, and a very good quarterback. I still take Eli over those 3 every day of the week and twice on sundays.
Good job, Chargers, good effort.
That's too bad the Jets are benching Mark Sanchez against the team he got his signature playoff win over. On the other hand, to lose to a n00b like Greg McElroy wouldn't be the first time for the Chargers.
Just like the only people who think Matt Stairs is great are the types who saw the Phillies see some success with a stacked starting lineup formula and automatically give full credit to the career pinch-hitter/benchwarmer with the big hit for wins, am I right?
