At age 40, he's still infinitely more talented that roughly half the league's QBs.

Well, I mean, Buffalo and Seattle at least.

Yeah, but his shoulder surgery allowed him to throw harder. This ankle surgery will probably cut down on his mobility, which means unless the offensive line holds, he's a sitting duck.

Favre isn't really a mobile quarterback anyways.

And the Vikings offensive line is pretty good.

He rolls out more than you realize. That's when he's usually his best. He hits his TE or fullback with a screen while rolling out of the pocket. If he has to roll out and plant, I wonder how that ankle will affect that. Once they cut the ligament in his shoulder, everyone knew he'd be able to chuck it without pain.

And Brett just said that he's unsure about the ankle, but he was sure about the arm. He kinda indicated that this might indeed be it (contract is up at the end of the year). I think if he can get them to the Super Bowl and win, he's done for good. If not, you can't trust a thing that comes out of the man's mouth.

Who knows, but he and his doctors obviously feel it's good enough to play on.

I'd venture to guess they have a more valid opinion than you do sitting at your computer desk.

Well Favre himself said that another bone spur is already growing in the same ankle he had surgery in. That's not good. I honestly think the Saints will finish him up week 1

apparently that spur isn't enough to deter him or his doctors.

    We've seen this before..

What an idiot.. I guarantee he is in more pain from punching his face mask than the dude that got punched. It seems as if both of my Tennessee football teams are a bunch of criminals. Well, the Vols are for sure. Seems like every other week some one is getting arrested. Why Tennessee.. Why.. I just want my Frank Wycheck, Samari Rolle, Derrick Mason, Bruce Matthews, Eddie George and Steve McNair back.. But most importantly, I want VY canned and shipped out of Nashville.

Buck is clearly a Kerry Collins fan.

Re: 2010 NFL Random Randoms Thread

We went 13-3 with Collins under center in '08. Last year was a different story though yeah yeah I get that. But seriously, people, (not anyone here) don't sit here and tell me it was because of Vince Young that we won 6 straight games last year after starting out 0-6. I don't even wanna get started on VY cause it just pisses me off. Just look at his career stats. Vince Young Thats enough right there for me to want him gone. Oh, and the fact he is too caught up in strip clubs getting in fights. That right there is a clear sign he is not anywhere close to being mature enough to be the leader of a successful NFL team. Do you see Peyton, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, any of those guys doing anything like that? Nope..

    Kerry Collins 4 lyfe!

He might be terrible passing but he does find ways to win. Regardless.
