I could see him as a nice fit in Cincy. I'm glad Boston picked up Hee Seop so now he won't go there. He's a solid player though, and will make an impact on a contender, i.e. the Braves, as General mentions.

But his stats are suspect. He has so much talent. I see him on a team like TB or Cincy.

He has power and defense similar to LaRoche, but he doesn't even hit righties that well. But he's bound to be a step up from Hatteberg in Cincy or Doug Mient in KC.

Defense with LaRoche? I'm a LaRoche hater, but LaRoche is an amazing defensive 1B. From what I've seen of Pena, I don't see him anywhere close to Rochy in terms oif defense.

Defense has always been Pena's ticket.
And there is nothing amazing about Laroche, unless we're talking about Andy.

Yesss... Let's just nab all the free talent we can and stock our minor league system so no one else can have him! haha
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

Jeff Nelson? Nah. He wasn't a nice Yankee.
