Tigers sign Fielder to a 9 year deal!

We already knew there was a strained relationship between the Fielders but it looks like Dad threw son under the buffet table to the media tonight. The annual Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame induction was held tonight at Tropicana Field where Cecil Fielder was being inducted along with Tino Martinez. Cecil spoke to reporters before the event when asked about Prince's deal with the Tigers and their relationship.


Sounds like Pops thinks junior is ungrateful.

Cecil was on a Canadian sports talk show before Prince signed. When the relationship with his son came up, Cecil went on to explain that they've been working on it, and had been making progress. So reading that article is a complete 180 on what was said before Prince signed in Detroit.
