Galarraga Traded to Dbacks

Diamondbacks acquired RHP Armando Galarraga from the Tigers for RHP Kevin Eichhorn and LHP Ryan Robowski.
Because the Tigers were able to swing a trade, they will not be responsible for any of his $2.3 million contract for 2011. Galarraga will likely compete against Barry Enright and Aaron Heilman for the final spot in the starting rotation. We'd normally say a pitcher would get a boost going to the National League, but Galarraga's fly ball rate last season could prove to be troublesome in the desert.

The Tigers really didn't get too much which isn't a surprise because Armando isn't that good. Enright should win the 5th starter role if he pitches anywhere close to how he did last year. Dbacks pitching is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Galarraga will likely start the year in AAA unless someone gets hurt.
