Miggy's Triple Crown Watch
It's about the only reason to watch the Tigers anymore. He hit two homeruns tonight and four in his last four games. He has a shot at this believe it or not. Teams just have to realize that Jose Bautista only pulls the ball for power.
Batting Average:
1. Josh Hamilton-.358
2. Miguel Cabrera- .341
Homeruns:
1. Jose Bautista- 40
2. Miguel Cabrera- 31
RBI:
1. Miguel Cabrera- 103
2. Alex Rodriguez- 97

Re: Miggy's Triple Crown Watch
If this was a month ago, and he was behind by the same amount, I too would think there was a chance. But Bautista, since the All-Star Game, has posted a .709 SLG%. That's Barry Bonds like slugging percentage. Given that and being ahead seven, I think he keeps the HR lead. Which is a shame because it would be great to see Miggy win it since he is such a complete hitter.

Miggy hit another dinger today. I would love to see him win this. What an awesome accomplishment that would be to see.

Ok Bautista hit two more last week so yeah this is about out of reach. I will be starting my NL Triple Crown thread after the games are done tonight
