Tigers Jon Heyman: Damon drawing interest

Tigers have their eyes on him I guess.

    Per twitter:

So the Yankees are being serious in their dismissing him I take it. Go ahead Tigers!

An interesting move by the Tigers, and one that I think will work.
Still think Damon can play a vital role on a team that is looking to compete for wins, and play offs.

Yeah I think he was the glue for the Yankees honestly. Dude just bothers pitchers and is pretty baseball smart. Tigers would be wise to get him. I wonder what the dollars look like though.

He will have to take a pretty big cut from his 2009 salary, IMO. He'd do well for many teams, although his defense isn't what it was a couple of seasons back. Many teams have room for a DH, though.

Yeah, he should take a pay cut.

But I somehow think that he'd be a bit of a prick when it comes to numbers.

Yeah, he is Yankee greedy. What I mean by that, he left a great team to go play for their bitter rival because of the dollar sign. I definitely think this won't be cheap.
