Tigers promoted Dontrelle Willis to Triple-A Toledo.
He'll start for the Mud Hens on Friday, but there's still no timetable for a possible return to the big leagues this season. "We've told Dontrelle the same thing: My goal with him and our goal with him has been that we'd like him to be ready to be the big league pitcher that he's capable of being in 2009," Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski said.

We'll see him in September. The Tigers are running out of arms!!

Dontrelle Willis allowed just two earned runs over eight innings for Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday night.
Willis tossed 74 of his 118 pitches for strikes and handled the Triple-A batters with relative ease. The pitch count is where it needs to be, but he still has some proving to do. Willis is currently on the disabled list with an anxiety disorder.
