Justin Verlander won his fifth straight decision Sunday, holding the Twins to a pair of runs over seven innings.
Once 1-7 with a 6.05 ERA, Verlander has gone 6-2 with a 2.71 ERA and 63/27 K/BB ratio in 73 innings since. His velocity is back to normal and Verlander has allowed more than three runs in just one of his last dozen outings, setting him up for a fantastic second half.
