    Pitching Willis horrid again.

Didn't get out of the 2nd inning, had 5 walks, gave up a few homeruns... quite simply didn't look like a major league pitcher whatsoever, yet again.

I know the staff is in shambles, but is it getting about to the point where you either put him in the pen or send him to AAA to attempt to work out the kinks. Some kind of damage control?

I think he might have to go to the pen like Zito did but this time actually pitch out of the pen. Signing him to an extension was such a dumb idea then and looks like an all-time blunder now, much like Zito.

Yeah I was going to allude him to Zito too, but reefer beat me to it. I don't think they'll send him down simply because of the whole contract thing and wanting to preserve whatever pride they have left. The pen seems much more realistic.

Dontrelle has been sent down to Single-A. That is embarrassing.

SINGLE A!? OUCH! Went from one of the most dominate pitchers in all of Major League Baseball, to being sent down to Single A.

    My my my.

It is embarrassing not only for him but also for the Detroit Tigers organization who shelled out all that money for him. A 7 million dollar Class A pitcher, OUCH. Hope he can work out whatever his pitching mechanics problems are and work himself back to the form he once was.

Not as shocking as it seems. The 2004(I think that was the year) sent Steve Trachsel down to A ball after he allowed 4 HR in one inning. He threw a 6 or 7 inning ONE HITTER in A ball, came back, and lost only like 2 games the rest of the year.

Speaking of Steve Trachsel I heard the Orioles released him today.

Being compared to Steve Trachsel tops being demoted to A ball on the embarrassment scale.

HAHA. Although Steve Trachsel had some decent years. But he was also a human rain delay

Yeah he has had a few good seasons in the past. He was God awful this season though. Actually though his stats were better than the D-Train's.

Dontrelle's fall off the radar in baseball is just enormous. This guy went from Cy Young contention to Single-A demotion. I love the guy, he just enjoys playing the game. Hopefully he can bounce back, but somehow I just don't see that happening...

Look at what Rick Ankiel did with turning his career around. I don't think Willis will become a hitter or anything, but he can get his mechanics back in order and turn it around.
