MLB.com: Tigers and Mets make trade

The Tigers found their 11th pitcher Saturday when they acquired Matt Ginter from the Mets in exchange for left-hander Steve Colyer in a swap of relievers who didn't make their respective clubs.

Ginter, however, will be back in the big leagues on Opening Day once he arrives in Detroit on Sunday. The 27-year-old right-hander immediately becomes the team's long reliever, reprising a role he held three years ago for the White Sox.
