Game one hosts Robertson vs. Wang. Do you guys like these choices? Or could either team have come up with better Game 1 starters?

Wang is definetly the best choice for the Yankees. Robertson, not so much. Verlander should have been #1.

Robertson is pitching better than Verlander right now: all of Robertson's starts since the start of August have been quality aside from 2 of them. Good move.

Not really. Verlander is explosive, and he is undoubtedly the teams best pitcher. Plus conventional wisdom would say you throw your best pitcher Game 1 anyway. The Game 2 pitcher should be the one on a hot streak, because he may be called on to stop the team from going down 0-2, and he would be the Game 5 starter.

But if you have your "hot streak" pitcher in Game 1, you stand a better chance of going up 1-0.

Tonight NYY goes up 2-0. Our offense plus the crowd will overpower Verlander, with Mussina giving us 6 innings of 3 run baseball. Proctor, Farnsy, and Mo will close it out again.

Congrats Tiger fans, your team has taken it to us and deserves to win this series. Our overpaid, overrate dlineup can't score runs while your lineup which is supposed to be what holds you back is scoring plenty. good luck in the ALCS.
