Congrats to the Tigers. I'm glad that they won the division.

Actually, they have not won the division just yet. Their lead over the Twins is 1 and a half games with 6 to play for the Tigers and 7 for the Twins. The Twins need to win out and catch a break to win the division, but it can be done.
The Tigers have clinched a playoff spot. For that they are to be congratulated. My wife is happy, as she predicted back in March that they would win 95 games. Looks like a sure thing now, and has for over a month. They have become a very good team and getting Polanco back will only strengthen them further.

Yea, they didn't win the division, but both the Tigers and Twins have clinched playoff births. The twins can still win the division. They probably won't clinch the division until the last day of the season, if they do at all. (a twins win today makes it a division tie)

The Twins would have to win and the Tigers lose for it to be really possible. The Tigers have the tie breaker.
