    Rockies lose Jennings for season

Jason Jennings will miss the rest of the season with a fractured right middle finger, the Rockies said.
Disappointing news for the Rockies. We assume there's also some ligament damage in the finger, as a fracture alone wouldn't typically keep someone out for 10 weeks. Jose Acevedo will take Jennings' place for now. If healthy, Zach Day should eventually move into the rotation, and the Rockies could also get Aaron Cook back.

Down in Kokomo, where we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow.

Zach Day pitching in Coors will be a scary thing for Rockies fans.

Jennings has shown at times signs of life but overall, has been a disappointment yet again.

In my opinion what will be even worse is Jose Acevedo starting in Coors. This guy has had an amazing amount of luck on his side during his stint with the Rockies.

    Code:
    YEAR	G	IP	H	R	HR	BB	SO	K/9	W	L	Sv	P/GS	WHIP	BAA	ERA
    SEASON	17	20.2	27	11	6	3	10	4.4	1	0	0	0.0	1.45	.303	3.92
ERA under 4 despite batters hitting .303 off of him, a somewhat high WHIP and an unspectacular K/9. Not to mention, there has been 6 homers off of him in only 20.2 innings pitched. Funny thing is, his success has come at Coors. But if he got rocked in GAB, expect the same to happen at Coors if batters are allowed to see him more than once in the game.

I agree with mission. The Rockies are really going to be hurting with jennings going down. Not that Jennings was awesome, but Acevedo just will not get it done. That I am sure of. The Rockies have a long way to go to get back to where they once were.

Ehh, I don't know. We have a lot of good young hitters. We just need a bullpen. The starters haven't been too bad either, we just fold every game late.
