December 14, 2007: Traded by the Arizona Diamondbacks with Chris Carter (minors), Brett Anderson, Aaron Cunningham, Dana Eveland and Greg Smith to the Oakland Athletics for Dan Haren and Connor Robertson.



November 10, 2008: Traded by the Oakland Athletics with Greg Smith and Huston Street to the Colorado Rockies for Matt Holliday.

Good for CarGo. He's had a ridiculous year this season, too bad the Rockies aren't up where they should be in that division.

From the A's perspective, they end up with OF Michael Taylor. Holiday was traded to STL for Wallace and Wallace was traded to TOR for Taylor. Hindsight is 20/20 because CarGon sucked with the A's. Taylor is having a somewhat disappointing year in AAA.

He's doing alright. He started slow, but has been hot since July like Carter. My point is that Gonzalez wouldn't be putting up those numbers if he played 81 games in another stadium...at least not in Oakland. I had no idea just how drastic the splits were until I looked.
