    Rockies Atkins to be benched

    It has been reported that Tracy is going to be removing Garrett Atkins who is hitting under .200 this season from the regular lineup and replacing him with Ian Stewart. The infield would look like this:

    1B: Helton
    2B: Barmes
    SS: Tulo
    3B: Stewart


    I think this is a good move. Let Garrett spell Stewart at third and Helton at 1B while he is working to get his hitting stroke back.

    Not a bad move. Stew has a hot bat right now and Atkins has been struggling a bit.

    I don't think the A's will be giving up Anderson, Cahill, or Mazzaro if you were referring to them.

    He does. Stew has hit 11 homeruns and he is raising his average a bit.

    Well we basically have 1 starter at the moment that is pitching great and the is Jason Marquis. Hopefully Jeff Francis can come back next season and we would have a great 1-2 punch.
