    Rockies De La Rosa K's 12

    Jorge De La Rosa set a new career high with 12 k's in a game against the Florida Marlins tonight. He only gave up 2 runs on 4 hits, but will probably get the loss because the Rockies can't seem to hit the ball where the Marlins aint.

    De La Rosa's previous career high for k's in a game was 10.

    Impressive start for him. Too bad he was going against Josh Johnson. Its 2-1 now so all isn;t lost.

    Yeah, it was a pitcher's duel for pretty much the entire game. Johnson has some wicked stuff as well.

    2-1 Florida going into the 9th.

    de la Rosa has pitched pretty well to start the season but to see him rack up the strikeouts, which he hadn't really done to the level he showed in 2008, could be a good sign for him and the Rockies.

    Well the only thing he is doing good is strikingout people. He is not winning for sure.
