Roster What is the best type of pitcher..

for the Rockies to target for their staff? To me it would be a sinker ball specialist. I will have to plead ignorance here, and don't claim to know what all of the pitchers throw, but I will reference a very average pitcher in Josh Fogg. He had nearly the exact same stats in Colorado as he did in Pittsburgh. To me, that means that his movement was not as effected in the Mile High City, as other pitchers pitches were. I know this could be simplifying it a bit much, but looking at all the starting pitchers ERA's (besides Cook) I would think that you have to do something differently. Are the ERA's symbolic of each pitchers mental state? The defense certainly doesn't seem to be letting the team down. Colorado currently ranks first in total chances (which seems to mean that they have good range) and tied for second in fielding percent. Any ideas?

I would say sidearmers or submariners since when they are effective they tend to draw groundball outs without often running into control problems like sinker ball specialists, but then I remembered the Byung Hyun Kim experiment. So I say to the Rockies: You're on your own. Build a dome or something.

A plastic one. It'll keep the beer colder, and it doesn't break as easily as glass.

Acrylic does the same thing but looks a lot more like glass.

Sinker balls would be ideal but someone who can throw some major heat would be effective too. Francis found successs last year and Aaron Cook has found success.
