First, the Colorado Rockies showed they could at least compete with a St. Louis Cardinals team that has put together the best record in the National League. The Rockies split a four-game series with the Cardinals last week.

Then this weekend, the Rockies welcomed to Coors Field a Cincinnati team that is struggling to survive. With an 8-6 victory Sunday afternoon, the Rockies put the finishing touches on their first series sweep of the season, stringing together a four-game winning streak for the first time in 11 months.

Now comes a showdown with the Chicago White Sox, who bring baseball's best record to Coors Field tonight. They open a three-game series that marks the Rockies' first interleague play of the season and the first regular-season matchup between the teams.

This was a great weekend to be a Rockies fan. Sweeping a team is sooo fun . I doubt we keep it going against Chicago, but who knows! Winners of 4 out of 5 are we!
