    Nix DFA, call up reliever

Jayson Nix was designated for assignment today. The 2B was batting only .111 on the year in 16 games. The team now has 10 days to trade him, release him, or send him outright to the minors.

They call-up Jose Capellan, a reliever from Colorado Springs. Capellan owns a career 5-7 record in the bigs with an 4.90 ERA.

Capellan has never blossomed into the pitcher that he was projected to be. He is quickly becoming a journeyman.

Capellan has already given up 1 run and still not out of the inning with runners on 1st and 2nd.

They should have kept Redman in there, he was doing better than that guy.

yep, he fell apart when he was with the Brewers and they shipped him off to the Tigers, and now he is with the Rockies.
