    Cards @ Rockies - 6/1 - Preview

So it's a new month, and the Rockies once again have a shot at not winning in this month.

    St. Louis (33-18) at Colorado (15-35), 7:05 p.m. MT

    Pitching Matchup:
    STL: RHP Matt Morris
    • 5-0, 3.38 ERA in 2005
    • 1-0, 5.14 ERA vs. COL in 2004

    COL: LHP Joe Kennedy
    • 3-5, 6.45 ERA in 2005
    • 0-0, 7.50 vs. STL in 2004

    Player to Watch:
Matt Holliday went 2-for-3 Tuesday, with two singles and a stolen base, and is now 3-for-7 this series. He would have had three hits if Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds didn't make a diving catch on his line drive in the fifth.

    Notes:
With the victory, Jennings became the winningest pitcher at Coors Field, with 25 in his career. ... INF Eddy Garabito recorded his first Major League hit Tuesday on a single to left field as a pinch hitter. ... The Rockies went 9-20 in May. ... In the 4th inning Tuesday, the Rockies hit back-to-back homers for the second time this year. Dustan Mohr and Todd Greene went deep off Mark Mulder with one out.

    Next few games:
    • Thursday: vs. Cardinals, 1:05 p.m. MT
    • Friday: vs. Reds, 7:05 p.m. MT
    • Saturday: vs. Reds, 6:05 p.m. MT

Well since the game is in the 9th I'm not gonna start a new thread to discuss it in. Rockies are down 8-6 with 1 down in the top half of the 9th. Just a little different game then last night.

Well we made it throught the top half without giving up a run. Now we need 2 to tie, 3 to win or we start June 0-1.

Isrignheouasen(sp?) gets the first out popping up the batter.

Luis Gonzalez makes a great play and bunts, he gets to first and the Cards throw it away so he is on second now.

Well I think we lost. I wasn't paying attention to the final out but they went to the news so I think it's done . Oh well we are now 0-1 in June, but we can split the series tomorrow if Chacon does good.
