    Rockies Rockies Season Talk Thread

Here is where we can talk about the Rockies games.

Man a sweep of the Mets. The Rockies are 6-0 this year versus teams from NY. Why can't we play them everyday?

7 Games back with every team but us in action today, looking to pick up 1/2 game

Team needs to find a quailty starting pitcher. Yes there score a ton of runs it was nice to see. But as all Rockies teams had is a poor rataion! IF this can get fixed via a trade this team can make a run at a playoff spot. The hiiting has been better than I expected.

I am saying we trade Spilborghs for a SP. However Lately Hirsh, Cook, and Francis have all been excellent it is the other 2 we need to replace

A move is needed for sure. Take on some payroll and improve the team.

Hey RF4E, welcome aboard. I see ya got my e-mail about this place. Hope ya like it here. It is really a cool place and HCG and Yankees26diehard(bronxbomberz)are here. And also sometimes Showtime100 stops by. Glad you decided to come along.

As for the Rockies pitching woes, Francis is not bad at all. The problem is that pitchers always fear the worst results when having to pitch at Coors Field. I guess it is the light air or something.

I think with a little tweak to the humidor the Pitching would be awesome, because you have to remember the balls don't come from the humidor to the Pitcher they come from the humidor about 2 hours earlier to the umpire.

What I don't get is how every says our offense is ALL contributed to the high alititude. Is that like saying all the Padres Pitching is because of their low altitude?

RF4E, I don't understand that logic as well.

Yeah. I went into a little spiel there. What I meant was that all our offense cannot be contributed to the High Altitude.

Both teams play at the same park

That is true, but I think what people are saying is that the Rockies play 81 games there and most other teams just play a fraction of the time there. But I understand what you are saying though, when the teams are playing in Coors Field they are both on the same playing field at the same time.

    Yeah so it shouldn't matter.

Are you going to be concerned about San Diego because the low altitude will affect hitting and pitching there too.

The problem lately was their now ex-closer blowing four games in a row.

He needs to re-emerge himself as a quality closer or the Rockies could be in more trouble then even they have been in recently. With the state of the starting rotation and a weak bullpen that isn't productive. That only spells disaster.

Yeah, but how is the rotation in a bad state besides Hirsh missing 1 start?
