Pretty simple, 2 Devil Rays to choose from, and 2 players that will both be very good, but who will be better?
I'll save my comments for a little later.
B.J. Upton
Delmon Young

I think Upton will be the better prospect. Not by a whole lot though thats tougher than Issue 1.
2003 Hybrid World Champion (115-47 reg season, 11-4 playoffs)
TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)
I voted Delmon, he absolutely mashes, not as good as defense, or speed, but he easily outrakes BJ
This was a tough one, I went with Young but I really can't explain why.
Young, heard he heard a great spring. And Upton isn't a prospect anymore. He had to many AB in the bigs last year.
Ugh, just because he's not a rookie anymore, doesn't mean he's not a prospect.
Wil Ledezma wasn't a rookie last year, was he a prospect? Yes.
Baseball America didn't list him as a top 100 prospect, so I figured he wasn't a prospect.Originally Posted by Witlon

Oh thanks for the info. I didn't know that.Originally Posted by Witlon
Tough call, but I think Upton's got a little more potential from what I've seen and heard about him.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
B.J. Upton
He has speed which always helps teams. You know the saying about how speed kills.
How did you not know about prospects and your an avid OOTP player?Originally Posted by Mauersota
I'll also go with Upton.
Delmon should be one of the better power hitters in the next 10-15 years, should be around the 35-40 homer mark, with 10 steals. I compare him to a Brian Giles on the 1999-2000-2001 years in Pittsburgh.
Upton should be a .280-30 hitter with great speed and depending on where he lands on D, he will be good there too. I, however, like him alot better at short than I do at third.
If Tampa Bay ends up messing up this combo, then good ridence for them.
I'll have to go with young.
upton's defense isn't near what people have thought. maybe causing him to switch posisions (ss-3b-of). upton at SS is very nice and could be a top 10 guy. upton at 3b is desirable. upton in the of is another good guy in a big bunch. upton's speed is great, but i dont see power nor defense.
Justin Upton>B.J. Upton
^coming soon.....justin upton.
Both will be good players, but I think Delmon will be the better player in the future.
