    Give me Davies.

For the record, as a Brave, I would've taken Meyer.

Can't argue with the Braves pitching track record...

It looks like Chen's got it figured out now after going from atlanta to philadelphia to new york mets to montreal to cincinnati to boston to houston and now baltimore.

Chen benefits most from Ray Miller IMO, some of you might not be familiar with Scott McGregor from the O's in the 80's, but Miller has made Chen into his clone. Chen works backwards in the sense that he throws the slow stuff to get his fastball by you. He has been able to throw the change a couple different speeds and his breaking ball is also very slow and effective. His fastball tops out between 84-88 at it's hardest. The biggest factor for Chen is that he has had great command thus far, hopefully that continues.

I would take Meyer over Davies. Atlanta had a hard time parting ways with him, while they gave up Capellan at the snap of a finger.

Davies threw 5 IP, 4 H, 6 K in his debut vs. Boston.

It's fine that you bring up the trio, except Maddux was never a Braves prospect.

In a sense you can say the same about Smoltz. He wasn't really a prospect with Detroit but he was drafted by them.

I saw little of that game on MSG Replay tonight. One thing about him is that he is throwing strikes. Atlanta once again is developing good young pitching.

He also threw 6 K's in both outings. I'm very excited about this kid's future.
