You guys remember when Randy Johnson killed that bird with a pitch?

Happened again on Sunday during a minor league baseball game, although this time the seagull didn't die.

Great part about this was that it was a two-strike pitch, so the batter sees that it's a wild pitch as he's striking out and takes off for first base.

It was ruled a no-pitch and he returned to bat.

Seagull Causes Confusion As It's Hit By Ball During Minor League Game

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- This game turns out to be strictly for the birds.

Specifically a seagull, which had the misfortune to fly into a Buffalo, New York, stadium, as the city's minor league baseball team was playing.

The bird flew between the mound and home plate as the visiting team's pitcher threw the ball. It hit the seagull, which fell to the ground.

The batter took a swing at the ball, but missed. The ball then got away from the catcher, and since it was a third strike, the batter ran to first, only to be thrown out.

Umpires had to take a moment to mull the whole thing over, and eventually ruled the play should've been stopped as soon as the bird was hit.

As for the seagull, a player carried it off the field, and it later flew away.

Yeah, that bird exploded into a pile of feathers. That was, hands down, the funniest thing I have ever seen, EVER!

Really, I would like for some math wizard to calculate the probability of that happening.... twice that I know of in a pro game. That's just unreal.

    Good find.

Would that be 3 since Dave Winfield did something to a bird? (was watching PTI earlier, Wilbon was a bird in role play)

Ted Williams used to take shotguns at Fenway and kill pigeons, I read it in his biography. He did it until the ASPCA got on his back, had him arrested and fined. And I found it quite funny.

I remember when Randy hit that bird. I couldn't stop watching it. The bird didn't know what hit it.
