Carney Lansford's son throws no-no for A's minor league team

It was a 7 inning no-hitter as it was the first game of a double header. Double headers in the minors are 7 inning games. He's 19 and was drafted in 2005 by the A's. Currently, he's at Class A Kane County.

Would that be great if he makes it to the Big Club! What a story. The son of an All Time Great coming to the A's. Oakland sure can Draft pitchers!

he was 2nd baseman. We were one of the few teams that wanted him as a pitcher. He almost didn't sign because of it. IIRC he wanted to be a 2nd baseman. He won't be up for 2 - 3 years BTW...he started the year at extended ST and just recently got called up to low class A Kane County. He'll probably go to Stockton high class A, but I don't expect him higher than that this year. He's only 19.
