Indians looking at Walker Texas Ranger...

    According to sportsline:

The Indians are among the teams believed to be interested in Cubs second baseman Todd Walker, a left-handed hitter who is batting .303 and has played in both leagues, says the Chicago Sun-Times.
He would probably make a decent addition.

Nice title, lol, but can this Walker lay a smooth kick across two faces?

As long as we didnt give up much for him I dont mind, but if we would have to give up a lot, it isnt worth it. Belliard has been playing fairly well this year, and if we really need to, we could call up Phillips.

You can't get a second baseman when you already have Ronnie Belliard. Lunacy.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Today sportsline said it looks very likely that the Indians will get Walker from the Cu-hubs.

Walker is a left-handed hitter and Belliard bats right-handed...it gives them more depth and flexibility. Walker has a higher OPS, too (.826 vs. .751)

Here are their other hitting stats

Looks like the Cu-hubs are giving up on their season.

Belliard better get most of the playing time. Walker is nowehere near the defender that Ronnie is.

Stu-pid. We better not be giving them anything.

Good to see this trade didn't go down. It just didn't look good for the Indians with the already mentioned Belliard. Phillips would be a better option IMO as well. I think this was more of the Cubs wanting to move Walker, then it was the Indians wanting him.
