So what should the Indians do?

They have not seen the CC they want lately and they are looking ofr a suitable outfielder still. So, is a trade in line involving the big hurler? It seems logical to say the least. What teams could spark their interest with a valuable enough outfielder? I say the biggest OF names are the Reds OF. But we don't know which one would be dealt with the Reds GM on non speaking terms when it comes to real talk. So, what else is possible?

I suppose they could acquire Byrnes. I think I read they might be interested in him.

Yeah that could be good for them. I think they could get more for sabathia though. maybe Byrnes and a prospect? That would be good.

I wouldnt mind dealing CC. He has had some good games, but has been far too inconsistant. Only reason I wouldnt want to trade him is because he is still young.

Yep his age makes him more of a need to hang on to. But then again, it also makes him marketable for a better return.

Didn't the Indians just sign CC to an extension? Why did they sign him for more years if they don't want him?

Meh. I don't think the Rockies have any interest in CC, just throwing out an OF who is on the block likely.

Down in Kokomo, where we'll get there fast and then we'll take it slow.

His contract is terrible for an average pitcher. I would imagine with that new contract, the Indians were hoping to see CC improved rather than slide. That rookie season got him way overrated.

I can't say that he is the most inconsistent, but I agree with you that he is one of them. That is exactly what is keeping teams from biting on CC. He is definitely nowhere near as marketable as he used to be.

    BTW, welcome back fpwarriors65!
