Travis Hafner will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Thursday.
Hafner hinted at the possibility Wednesday morning, but he has decided to go ahead with the surgery. He'll miss four to six weeks, which places his return in early-to-mid July. The Indians will likely rely on multiple players out of the DH spot during his absence.
Seems like a lot of big name players have gone down recently and Hafner joins the list. Hafner wasn't lighting the world on fire but did have a .819 OPS with 6 HR and more BB than K (26:25). I'd like to see Chisenhall get some AB from the DH spot.
