Indians Indians close to acquiring Abreu

According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Indians are on the verge of acquiring Bobby Abreu.
The Indians have been looking for outfield help all spring. And while Abreu isn't much of a defender anymore, he should represent a slight upgrade on the offensive end for Cleveland. The 38-year-old outfielder is owed $9 million this season, though the Angels are likely to eat most of that.
Heyman isn't the most reliable source but it does seem to be a good fit. Indians definitely needed some OF help. Abreu could also be a good influence on the younger kids much like he was with Morales and Figgins in LAA.

Yeah I saw that rumor. Atlanta is being rumored to have interest in Byrd as well.

Yeah leave that for the Cubs forum
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that a trade sending Bobby Abreu to the Indians is only "50-50" to happen.
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported Thursday evening that the deal was "on the verge" of being finalized. But it has apparently hit a snag. Abreu, 38, will serve as the Indians' primary left fielder this season if the trade is ultimately completed. He batted .253/.353/.365 with eight home runs and 60 RBI in 585 plate appearances last year for Anaheim and is owed a $9 million salary in 2012.
    HEYMAN!!!!

Heyman needs to just stop posting. He already screwed up the A's closer situation in the last week, and now this.
