    Bob Wickman

Remove this guy as closer. In fact, remove him from the team completely. He helped the Indians more by being on the DL than on the mound.

Entering the bottom of the 9th, Indians with a 3-0 lead... in comes Wickman. It goes like this.

    Carl Everett singles.
    Paul Konerko homers.
    Jermaine Dye homers.
    Aaron Rowand doubles.
    A.J. Pierzynski intentionally walks.
Willie Harris sac bunts. Bob Wickman with a fielding error.
    Juan Uribe sac fly.

    Game over. Wickman sucks.

    yea, Wickman is done.

    he got HAMMERED.. absolutely HAMMERED.
    Nobody lookin out for nobody
Maybe we should try and help somebody or be somebody
Instead of being somebody that makes the news
So everybody can tweet about it
And then they start to R.I.P. about it
And four weeks later nobody even speaks about it.

Jeeeesus. I wasnt big on resigning him this offseason. I was hoping to sign someone else or to put Jason Davis at closer. Hopefully we will bench him sooner than later.

    wickman isn't doing that bad...

true he got hammered by the chisox, but if you look past that game:

    5 IP
    3 H
    1 R
    1 ER
    3 K
    0 BB
    4 S
    0 W
    0 L
    0 BS

^if it weren't for that first game those would be his #'s. I'll take that anyday.

So much for him settling down. He blew a save against the Angels the other night.

I think the Indians need to groom Matt Miller as the closer.

    eh...

it's going to happen. theres not a pitcher anywhere that won't have the occasional bad outing. but so far wickman has been doing a solid job.

Jason Davis is sapose to be the man of the future. I've heard that he "goes after hitters", "is very aggresive", "has the type of mentality of a closer."

but for the bullpen to be doing such a great job, we here in cleveland are very happy.

Wickman may not be lidge or gagne but hes doing fine, and untill we have a guy that can do better (riske/rhodes/jiminez (oh god, jiminez)/whatever the bum's name is in tampa) wickman will do.

^for the bum list, i forgot mesa. remember the playoffs/world series?
