The Indians seemed to have given up a lot for Ubaldo Jimenez but did they really? Jimenez will make near $18 million over the next three seasons combined which is a steal for someone like Ubaldo so no problems there. The Indians rotation with Jimenez has the average age of 26 so the Indians are good there as well. Indians still have Lonnie Chisenhall and Jason Kipnis who are currently helping the Indians stay afloat. Kipnis just homered in his 4th straight game. These were their top position prospects and the Indians still have a ton of B level prospects who can get better so the farm system is not shot whatsoever. The Indians are in good shape financially and talent wise so this shouldn't be looked as the Indians gave up too much, it's just depends on how you look at it. Plus you have to think of how the pitchers the Indians sent over will fare in Coors. It could be a rough time for them so I don't see the Indians sacrificing too much but I guess time will tell.
