Indians Where will the Indians finish in 2011?

I know, no one cares. Look, I'm going to try to find some things to say here. Let's give this a shot.

First off, they're not devoid of talent. Especially if Santana and Sizemore come back healthy and capable. The same can be said for Asdrubal Cabrera, a fine SS, whenever he stays healthy. Speaking of which, O-Cab and Ass-Cab double play combo is in play here. Tell me that's somewhat interesting. Austin Kearns returned after playing well enough to get dealt to the Empire and do absolutely nothing. He'll be buried in the depth chart behind young guys, but injury prone young guys. The outfield will be fast if it stays intact: Brantley-Sizemore-Choo. Matt LaPorta, it's either time to shine or time to be the next Dallas McPherson. Fausto Carmona leads a young rotation, and the pen is just as young except for Chad Durbin. Chris Perez, their closer, isn't too shabby at all. Jensen Lewis isn't bad either.

Look, it's not going to be a good team, but there is some talent and they are playing a lot of young guys instead of loading up on recycled garbage that would clog up space. If they perform well, it's very likely the Cabreras, Durbins, Kearns, Nixes will get dumped at the deadline. They just need to be smart and bide their time as they rebuild the farm. Remember, it produced quite a few gems over the last couple of decades, can they do it again?

I see them finishing 4th ahead of the Royals. The Royals pitching flat out sucks and the Indians are a little better. Indians have Carmona which is better than anything the Royals currently have. The Indians also have one of the best OFers in Choo. If Choo, Sizemore, Hafner and Santana can stay healthy, this team should score a lot of runs. I am expecting a breakout year from LaPorta as well. The Cabrera's should make a good DP combo so the improved defense should help that pitching staff. The Indians will trade off some pieces like KOZ said so they will probably tail off at the end of the season but should still be good enough for a 4th place finish.

Theyre staring up at the Sox, Twins, and Tigers (in that order IMO). It would take a lot for them to crack that top 3 I think.

And on a more immature side I RoFL'd at O-Cab/Ass Cab comment.

Most people like the underdogs or the teams that were picked for last place before the season started. I certainly am enjoying the season so far.

Detroit still seems to have the whole package to win it here. I also like the Whitesox ahead of the Indians.
