Indians cannot find a suitable right handed bat

    Friday, July 08, 2005
Clubhouse confidential: So far, the Indians' search for a quality right-handed hitter has hit a brick wall. The latest rejection reportedly came from the Brewers about the availability of Carlos Lee, the National League's RBI leader.

Wow that would be a nice pickup. Do the Indians still believe they can win it this year?

I think they do. They have had a decent season, but it just cannot compare to the White Sox so far.

Great deal. Getting a good OF like Lee would really step it up for the Indians who could at this pace get a WC spot. Unless White Sox get a lot of injuries or something goes wrong, Indians have no chance at geting the division title. As I see it, the Twins may as well step it up and provide a tight race for the Indians. Indians got some work cut out for them, and another good player could give them the edge.

Lee would have been a huge pickup. We really do need a power righty, especially if we go up against a righty pitcher because Hafner, Martinez, Broussard, Sizemore, and Crisp will all be hitting left. And I think if we want to contend this year we will need to pick up another SP. Elarton and Millwood arent all that reliable. Hopefullt Tallet will have a few quality starts after his recent call-up.
