Indians Pronk making a trip to the disabled list.

Whenever you hear the words "James" and "Andrews" used together, it's never a good sign.

    Hafner placed on 15-day DL

Travis Hafner right shoulder is causing problems again, and the Indians' designated hitter was placed on the 15-day disabled list shortly before Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

Manager Eric Wedge said Pronk is battling soreness and fatigue in the right shoulder.

"We don't think it's anything serious," Wedge said. "Hopefully it's just a two-week thing."

Hafner will visit Dr. James Andrews, the surgeon who surgically repaired the shoulder in October. Wedge said the shoulder has been bothering Hafner for three or four days. Pronk was out of the lineup Sunday and Monday.

This could have also been a That Didn't Take Long thread.

Hafner's injury is considered "not serious" by Eric Wedge so I am not too worried about this. Hafner has done well in his first month for not playing in a long time.

Re: Pronk making a trip to the disabled list.

Travis Hafner received positive news upon having his right shoulder examined by Dr. James Andrews on Wednesday.
Well, that's a first. "Dr. Andrews feels that the soreness that Travis was experiencing in his surgically repaired right shoulder is not uncommon soreness after a procedure such as his," said Indians head athletic trainer Lonnie Soloff. "He's optimistic that Travis will return to game activities either when his 15 days are up or shortly thereafter." Pronk is eligible to return from the disabled list on May 14.
Awesome news for the Indians who are sitting at the basement of the Central but only six games out.
