Indians Cy Lee Seem Back To Normal

After a disastrous start for Cliff Lee, he seems to have settled down to what we saw of him last year. In his first two starts he gave up a combined 11 ER in 10 IP. In his last two starts he has given up just 3 ER in 14 IP. So two straight quality starts for Lee but he won't be a winner in tonight's game. Looks like Indians fans can start breathing a sigh of relief and Pavano looked good in his last start. Things are looking up for the rotation.

Cliff Lee is a much better pitcher than he showed in 2007, but he is not likely going to be as good as he was last season ever again.
Normal for him should be somewhere in the middle.

Cliff Lee blanked the Red Sox for eight innings on Monday, but he wasn't involved in the decision.
The game was still scoreless when Lee left. The Indians haven't scored in the 16 innings that Lee has pitched in his last two starts. He's 1-3 with a 3.94 ERA.
How can such a powerful offense not get Lee any run support? Three straight gems in a row for Lee.

Lee will be fine. Some players can start the season off slow and I'll give more weight to the last five starts where he has often pitched long into games (3 of 5 games for 8 innings) and all of them being quality starts, than two rocky outings to start the season. The Tribe have a lot more to worry about more than Cliff Lee.

Lee finally got some offense and got his second win of the year to better his record to 2-5. Lee threw seven shutout innings fanning nine and walking just one. Could Lee be traded this summer?

Cliff Lee went eight innings, allowing just two runs, but didn't factor into the decision in a 6-5 loss to the Royals on Tuesday night.
He was well on his way to improving to 3-5 before Kerry Wood blew it in the ninth. Lee scattered eight hits, while striking out three and not issuing a walk. He has allowed just nine runs over his last seven starts, but is just 2-3 in that time. He'll bring a 2.90 ERA and 2-5 record into his next start against the Reds.
This guy can't buy a ****ing win. Kerry Wood has been a dud so far. Indians need help or need to think about trading Cliff Lee.
