Indians Laffey and Jackson battling for 5th spot

Laffey battles Jackson for rotation spot | indians.com: News

"Spring Training stats don't mean anything. We're going on what we're seeing," said Wedge, who is grateful to have more than two weeks left to make a decision. "We've got [time], and we'll use it. All those lefties have been pretty impressive."
Both guys have been pretty much even stat wise this spring. Its just the matter of which lefty he prefers when it comes down to the season. I think Jackson will beat out Laffey.

Its one of the ugliest competitions since they are both doing horribly. They really need to give Pedro a look or trade some of that offense. I'm sure they could get something for Garko.

They do need to give Pedro a look but its unlikely they do.

Its unlikely anyone will since his asking price is $6-8 million guaranteed.

Laffey was demoted, as was Sowers. The winners of the 4th and 5th spots are Scott Lewis and Anthony Reyes.
